This is mostly me. Fiscally moderate to conservative, but socially pretty liberal.

I accept and expect to pay taxes. I'd prefer that my taxes be spent in a way that maximizes their effectiveness. Spending taxes on abstinence only education bugs me because it's ineffective, not because I think it's wrong for kids to be encouraged to abstain.
Bailing out the banks irks me, but I accept that had the banks been allowed to fail, then our economic situation would be worse. I absolutely hate that nothing has been done to keep banks from repeating their errors.
