LYC: Poker update from last night

It's our annual tournament for an engineering professional society here in town. About 60 people playing... 20 serious players, and the rest who haven't played Holdem since last years tournament. Half of your table is full of people who will call with ANYTHING, which means no bluffing for the first hour or 2.

starting with 2000 chips and blinds 25/50. Blinds raise every 15 minutes. Not a lot of time to accumulate chips.

30 minutes in, I'm down to about 1500. Haven't hit a flop yet. I'm in the BB and see KK. Preflop raiser (good, solid player) goes to 400. Button (huge stack, about 10,000 at this point) calls. I push all-in. Raiser calls. Button calls.

I flip over KK
Raiser flips over AA
Button flips over 8-ten suited

Flop AA6
