I think I agree with your im in an abstract sense; also if companies are now people in the eyes of the law, either corporations should be paying

income tax at rates endured by every citizen, or people's income tax should be at the same rate as the current corporation tax. For a divergence between what companies and people pay in de facto income tax rates amounts to the taxing authority acting in a discriminatory manner towards one group or the other (given that both are people under the law).
I think I would be in favour of CGT being applied with strict qualifying conditions sans the ambit of investment income pertaining to bond and equity investment only.
