Some friends of mine reposted that link and one of them said the sound was more annoying than the hum of a fluorescent light.

Fluorescent lights make a sound?

I used to not be able to go into Sears because their cheap TVs had a transformer that squeeled and a 100 of them stacked up would drive me crazy but - zeitgeist Feb 25, 18:41

        none that I could hear nowadays. the squeel of TVs was related to a cheap transformer they would use, I suppose old fashioned office lights with the - zeitgeist Feb 25, 18:45
