"New details have emerged in the "brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating" inflicted on CBS Chief Foreign Correspondent Lara Logan in Egypt's Tahrir Square the night President Hosni Mubarak stepped down from power."
"Sexual assault" is being used more and more rather than "Rape" because it's just such an ugly word. People who have been raped have an easier time testifying when the event is described as sexual assault. I learned that from Law & Order-UK.
You can't sling a dead cat on the internet without running into more descriptive stories of Ms. Logan's experience. If you want to find some, stop going to the baby news site at AoHell and try some grown up sites like CNN or the UK Register.
