The King's Speech is no doubt a good, solid likeable movie. But in no way the best of the year. It's a shame The Social Network and Fincher didn't

win, but then Hitchcock never won either (though Rebecca won BP). It's a modern masterpiece, and I expect it will easily be remembered more fondly in the years to come.
