In other strange news, tonight I found out that the 20' long bamboo stalk I cut down and left lying along the driveway is gone

I suppose that someone could have driven up and taken it, but it's so long that that would have been awkward. Not heavy, but long.
For the same reason, I can't see some animal taking off with it. It's not in the yard anyway.
Unless....you don't think....
