I'm thinking of buying a new destop computer. Is today a good day to buy or should I wait until early 2009?

I don't absolutely have to have one, but the old one I built years ago (and keep Frankensteining) is having trouble with the newer programs.

I know whatever I get will be not as good as whatever comes out later, but I don't care about having the fanciest computer.

Sadly, it has to be a PC because of one particularly mac-unfriendly client I have.
