The hard part is I own my house in the same municipality I work for. As a tax payer you want your taxes to not go up. As a city employee, you want an increase.
70% of the city budget is staff costs.
Responses:
I didn't know city employees got bonuses. I work at a public college and we don't have them.

But I have to start paying for parking this year too and more for our benefits....it wipes out most of the increase........
