Gardner in the leadoff spot should be a no-brainer.

and if they were smart, they would bat Swisher second.

with Swisher working deep into counts normally, Gardner could swipe 80.

And with those 2 taking pitches, you're already 10-12 pitches into the inning by the time you get ARod-Tex up to the plate; they've seen stuff already -- nm

It's how I'd consider setting up the lineup....it's not reality.

I put Granderson behind him becuase Posada still gets a lot of hits...to capitalize on Jeter's assumed recovery...Granderson's more feast or famine. -- nm

Yup. Hard to admit this but unless Jeter shows he can hit .320 again, I'd drop him down in the lineup. -- nm

If his learning to bunt better goes well then I expect that number to actually rise this season.

I can't believe how bad the teaching is if a guy of his skillset is just now learning how to bunt. -- nm

I'm not a fan of the bunt for many people, but if you're not a threat to hit many homers; but are a threat to create runs with your legs....you better

I understand your point, but you do not have to "bunt" to leg out infield singles....
