gonna be a hard afternoon ... going w/ my mom to the vet clinic in a while...

her daschund has not been in good health for a while and is in decline. Mom made the decision this morning to put her down and out of her suffering. Everyone's upset, understanably so ...

Long story short ...Mom rescued Gretchen (her dog) a few years ago from a puppy mill ... the dog was little more than a number to these people, literally .... she didn't even have a name, just a number tattooed inside 1 of her ears.... we'd like to think that the past (almost)4 years were the best years of Gretchen's life.

Anyway, positive thought requests for my mom ... this will be hardest for her.
