Where I live is supposed to be seismically fairly safe

We had a 5.5 a couple years ago, centered about 5 miles from me (which is like the closest spot on a faultline near me) and had no damage at all.

Just wondering because earthquake insurance is expensive, but I've been told I don't need it where I live.
