Canucks Election Watch: Kick your alert status up yet another notch. (Should be one level below: "The Prime Minister is on his way to Rideau Hall...")

The Speaker ruled that there were two House of Commons breaches against the gov't (Oda "Not" and one other I can't recall at the moment). Both come up for votes around budget day and they're basically going to be pseudo-confidence votes.

There's some chatter Harper may actually trigger the election himself tomorrow and avoid two weeks of ethics complaints leading up to the budget, but the other thinking is that at the very least, he wants the budget delivered first. Either way, it's looking increasingly certain that we're not leaving March without a Writ Drop.
