I would say there's a strong chance. It's shaping up as a defining election pitting Harper against Ignatieff.

And Harper already has 125 solid seats he doesn't have to worry about compared to Ignatieff's 40 solid seats. The Tories are 12 seats shy of a majority already and there are expected gains in Newfoundland, Ontario and BC (with a handful of loose ones elsewhere) that could easily bring a slim five to ten seat majority.

I also believe that most Canadians are tired of minorities and will be happy to finally turn off campaign mode for two or three years.
