It's also cultural. The insides of the parties do not reflect the old PC party.

The mechanics, fundraising and day-to-day activity is much different. Even post-Harper, I'll be shocked if it ever returns to any semblance of the old party.
And that's fine. The old party is better fondly recall than truly remembered.
