Cookbook author dinner
I am having a cookbook author over for dinner. Should I serve her from one of her cookbooks. or someone else's?
pixie sez: isn't that like wearing a band's t-shirt to their concert??

No - the correct answer is to make what you do best, or make something they've never tried -- nm

If this is a business-related dinner, *maybe*. If not, and it's a weekend, it will be a work-related buzzkill for them. -- nm

I'd say avoid it at all costs. Unless you put an interesting spin on it/make it your own. -- nm

why, why would you do that? you know they can make it better than you. And they probably made it alot while fine tuning the recipe. Make something
