There is also the fact a lot of these schools here need the inflow of money to take a beating from an in-state 800lb gorilla.

I hope so, but he's likely rich enough that's a small write-off. -- nm

I'm not sure they got screwed -- they were capped at #5. Texas only lost to this year to the #2 team. PSU only lost by a small bit to the #1 team

Good teams lay the hammer down on bad teams. The best of the conference won by 7 against the worst of the other conference.

I think it comes down to they lay the wrong groundwork -- if SMU and Arizona State are in the field as edge cases as conference leaders, tag them

Yeah -- "We have budget issues." Maybe we don't make Maryland's soccer team fly to USC just to get destroyed in football? And ruin all the

As much as I think that's bad, I do think it's right to not punish the #1 seeds for losing a good game.

The Big 12 Champion Arizona State beat literally the worst SEC team this year by 7.

When they played OOC games vs the big boys, the SEC was 13-6 this season.

I’m all for capping a conference at 12. You want Big Ten A/B…fine but you get 8 conference games. Your division and half the others.

I'll go #1 v #2. I actually think Oregon is a legitimate title team.

Their big problem is they are supposed to pick the 7 best at-large teams (not best records, but best) There's no world where Indiana is that, but

Likely, but looking at Notre Dame, they played a sneaky solid last 3 months.

The *only* positive they did here is say that if you're the conference #1 seed and in the week prior, a close loss won't hose you in getting dropped.

Doesn't have to, but there's no reality where OSU should have jumped this week and they aren't a better resume than UT.

And SMU is #12 and Clemson (the team that just beat them) is #13.

See if I got this right -- in the AP poll, OSU and UT swapped spots despite *NOT PLAYING* and now it's seeded that way.
